Born in Barcelona on January 8, 1952. He completed his university studies at the ESADE business school in Barcelona and has followed numerous specialization courses in the financial and senior management fields over the years.

He has a long and extensive professional experience in the business field, occupying senior management positions, especially in the paper industry. In recent years he was the CEO of the European division of the American paper group The Newark Group Inc., which he left when that division was sold to an investment fund.

He has a Law Degree and a Master’s Degree in the Practice of Law from the Open University of Catalonia (U.O.C.). He is a practicing lawyer mainly in the Civil and Commercial fields, member of the Illustrious Bar Association of Girona (ICAG 3771), and has taken specialization seminars in civil and commercial matters and a specialization course in Gender Violence. He is also a Mediator for the CICAC.

In addition to his native languages ​​(Catalan and Spanish), he speaks French, English and Italian.
